So Dad had a little pneumonia. I cooked his favorite dish. Navy beans. Yeah, Dad’s easy to please. Flavored it with a ham bone. Here’s a question for you. How does anyone cook anything without a country ham bone for seasoning. Got veggies…put a ham bone in it. Want yummy soup….put a ham bone in it. I swear, I’m tempted to stuff my turkey with it this Thanksgiving. I’ll bet that would be the best damn turkey in roasted bird history. Course I could skip that all together and do red-eye ham on Sister Schubert rolls and those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about… you have my deepest and most sincere sympathies.
Mmm mmm good!!! lady you are making my belly growl…ain’t nothing and mean nothing like the flavor from a good ole ham bone…I look forward to Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas every year because I know there will be a Ham Bone that I can cook with later 🙂
I am not even going to get start on those rolls and me and my sister (adults over 40) almost got into a fist fight over…YES they are that good!!!
Right you are!! We usually keep one in the fridge just to have something to nibble on! They last a long while so you are really never out of food, we even put pineapple on it and call it a healthy dessert! Lol
